ok my comp (I'm on my friends comp right now) my interface is gone. I have no
Taskbar and no icons. I want to do a system restore but I don't kno how to
get there without the Start button. please lend me so help!!

Turn off your computer..
Start tapping F8 once per second when you turn it on..
Choose Safe Mode.
When it asks whether you want to continue in safe mode or use system
restore.. well - you know which to choose.

In addition to what Shenan said you might want to use Safe Mode with Command
prompt to run System Restore from. Scroll down on this page to the section
