Here is a list of all the MS newsgroups:
http://aumha.org/nntp.htm

Look for groups with *.de and post your question there.

Did you get the driver from Microsoft or from ATI? You should download
drivers only from the manufacturer's web sites, not from Microsoft.

You don't need a German news server. If you want German newsgroups, you can
find them on the regular Microsoft server, msnews.microsoft.com. The German
groups all begin with microsoft.public.de...

Hi, Michaela. I have the Radeon x700 Pro. On my system, I experience slow
downs (especially with shutdown) if I install the Catalyst Control Center.

If I install just the drivers, then that problem goes away. I lose some of
the fancier options found only in the Catalyst Control Center but so far
that has not been a problem.

If reinstalling or rolling back to a previous version of the ATI software
doesn't do away with the slow down problem, you may want to try the "driver
only" approach to see if that helps.
