I continually get this message on the top of my screen, underneath the toolbar:
"This website is using a scripted window and is asking you for information.
If you trust this website, click her to allow scripted windows."
I have my settings to allow scripted windows except for sites without a
certificate. Is there another setting I can change so that I'll stop getting
these messages? I also get them when I try to create new folders in Yahoo
mail.

1= Click start >> Control Panel >> Double Click Network and Internet
Connections >> Double click Internet Options, on the IE Properties window
you will see these Options:
General | Security | Privacy | Content | Connections | Programs
| Advanced .
Click on Advanced tab and scroll down under this option and check these two
boxes:
[&] Browsing
[ ] Disable Debugging (Internet Explorer)
[ ] Disable Debugging (Other)
Click [OK] and out you may reboot and try and see if the error will come back.

Hi Nass, thanks for responding. I disabled debugging (Internet) and (Other)
but I still get the message about scripted windows. Thanks for trying.

Hi Denise,
If you are using the IE7 the phishing Filter will cause this alert, try to
set the Phishing filter.
Does this behaviour occur on all websites or some not all?.

The alert doesn't happen here and it doesn't happen when I want to create a
new folder in my Comcast email address, but it happens at Yahoo email and
most sites when I want to download a program, even proven ones like Ad-Aware.
It doesn't happen at eBay though, and those are the only ones I can remember
off the top of my head. Sometimes when I Google something and I click to
open one of the results, I'll get the message too.
I just got my computer back up and running. I installed a SATA card and I
have SATA X64 OS. I don't know why it happened but as soon as I started up
the computer after installing the SATA card, it shut down. It somehow blew
my PSU and I had to buy a new one.
The point I was getting to was that I had phishing onbefore the PSU blew but
it's not on now and I still get the messages.

Doesn't it mean just the opposite? I don't want to be prompted by websites
to use scripted windows. I changed it anyway and I also temporarily lowered
the security level from Medium-High to Medium.

In some cases yes, if you don't have a firewall and browsing to bad sites.
You can click on the Default settings to get the IE default settings.
But in General this Fix for what you want to avoid the error message.
This a new feature implemented and it will go through trail and error until
it is corrected, unfortunately.

It seems to have worked for my Yahoo email, so hopefully it'll work for the
other things as well. Thanks for your help.
