Post subject: Scanner not working on Lexmark X5495 Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>print_fax (more info?)
Scanner not working on Lexmark X5495.
Just setting up a new Lexmark X5495 4-in-1.
I know it was a cheapie but I would still expect it to work.
Printer seems ok but just cannot see why the scanner doesn't work.
I have tried everything, read the userguide, googled etc but no go.
Don't know where else to look and wondered if anybody has had similar
problems or can advise where else I can look.

I have the same problem and lexmark told me it's a microsoft
problem-----found the abbey and tried to reinstall and i received the same
error message HKEY LOCAL MACHINE............I will uninstall and try again.
If it works I will post it.

Lexmark X5150 prints so slow - Lexmark finally released a driver for X5150 and I downloaded and installed by following all the instructions. But the printing process is so slow. I believe somehow data goes so slow to printer through the USB cable. Because I have an ibook G3 laptop....
What's up with my Scanner? - HP Scanjet G3010 newly purchased to go with Vista scans fine, but the copy feature doesn't work. Message indicated latest drivers in place. I KNOW the copy feature is supposed to work, because it's there. Called support. Spent 1-1/2 hrs on phone..
Scanner? - Are there any reasonably price scanners that work in Windows Vista? My Mustek BearPaw 1200CU has been a great scanner, and only cost $40 new. Unfortunately, Mustek won't even acknowledge that Vista exists.
scanner drivers - Did a re-install of XP. Now our scanner won't work. We never installed software that came with the scanner and it worked fine with other software. Any suggestions? The manufacturer (Umax Astra 2000U) doesn't have any up to date drivers unless you..
