I am not an expert, but I do have three HP printers hanging off of two
computers. One of 'em is a officejet 6110, which I bet is a close cousin to
your 6210.
Anyways, my thought is for you to use SRH to unplug your 6210, then
uninstall all the software that came with the printer. Then reinstall
everything, just as if you had bought the printer new.
One note: after uninstall -- and before your re-install -- use Windows
Explorer to find any residual folders and/or files related to the original HP
6210 install. That should make your re-install cleaner. [These files/folders
might be hidden, so, in Windows Explorer, go to Tools>Folder Options>View
tab, and activate 'Show hidden files and folders'. Don't forget to click
'OK.']
I have been having trouble with HP's software ever since I installed
Internet Explorer 7. HP's support said there was a known problem with IE7.
For a time, I just uninstalled IE7, and things were OK. Then HP came out with
a supposed fix, which I installed, then reinstalled IE7, but things have
never been the same.
Hope this helps. Post a reply if this helps. -- Wayne
