When I installed Roxio EZ CD Creator 6 a year ago, it scrambled my
drive letters and disabled the change function in DIsk Management..
I fixed the letter via this registry edit:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/q223188/
but the Cnange Letters and Paths option in DIsk Management is still
diabled.
Now, after a fresh reload, and install of EZCD6, it happened again.
Conclusion: Roxio sofware is Malware..
I did the registry fix again, but now I need a way to enable "Change
Driver Letters and Paths" There must be a way to undo the damage.
(Uninstalling the software doesn't fix it.)
Does anyone out there have an idea?
(If you have EZCD6 installed, please go to DIsk Manager, right click a
volume, select the change option and see if the Change and Remove
buttons are ghosted out.. If yes, and you have administrator rights,
then you've been "Roxio'd."
