Hello, I need help! I recently reinstalled my Windows Vista and my files
were backed in folder called Windows.old, but I'm unable to find all emails
from Windows Live Mail not Windows Mail, but Windows Live Mail which allows u
to set up multiple mail boxes. How do I get these emails restored? What
email file ext is used? I'm at a total lost, please help!

You might get a faster answer if you ask in newsgroup:
microsoft.public.windows.live.mail.desktop |

WLM mail is stored in various folders in
C:\Users\(youraccount)\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail
the file extension is .eml
I think to restore them, you need to open WLM, and do a File - Import -
Messages - Windows Live Mail
Just copying them won't allow the messagestore (index) to find them.
BTW, the WLM newsgroup is microsoft.public.windows.live.mail.desktop
despite "Desktop" no longer being part of the program name.

The "location" you posted to (actually a newsgroup) is reserved for
supporting the Windows Mail program. So, Mr. Miles was entirely
correct in referring you to the newsgroup where the Windows Live Mail
experts hang out. If we were to start answering all types of computer
questions here, the signal-to-noise ratio would get very bad, to the
detriment of all concerned, especially those who went to the trouble of
looking up the appropriate newsgroup.
