MCE 2005 question - I've just installed MCE 2005. The Music library seems to be taking a long time to catalog all the files. Is this normal? It's been running several hours and only about 140 of the 460 music album folders have appeared in the list. Thanks in advance for

Hope someone can confirm if I'm on the right lines....

I had to do a repair on my MCE2005 but I didn't have the CDs to hand
(we just moved house) so I grabbed a download copy and started the
repair but it won't take the key on the sticker - says it's wrong.

I noticed that it is asking for the XP Pro upgrade key - so the CD1 I
downloaded is an upgrade Sad

I'm still at the CD key entry screen but can I either restart the PC
with a full install CD1 and run the repair options again or is it now
too late?

If it's too late then can I use a temporary upgrade licence and then
revert back to my real licence key?

Next time I'll glue the CDs to the case Smile

Thanks!

JB.

"download copy"
could you explain that...since XP cannot be legally downloaded from any
website

Without implicating myself in an act which may or may not be illegal
(however online activation negates that to some extent) I'm sure you
get my hint.

I found a solution to this problem and it's all fixed now and running
on my original product code.
