Since we're all pretty much agreed that registry cleaners are snake oil, what's the
group take on this entry in MS 'Exploring Windows' Volume 97 : September 19, 2008
newsletter?

Featured shareware pick

· Registry First Aid <http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9535162>

"Receive a 10% DISCOUNT COUPON when you purchase Registry First Aid!"

That pretty much says it all, it won't change anyone's mind on recommending
them.

I would say that the group take is "we're all pretty much agreed that
registry cleaners are snake oil."

Sounds like a simple syllogism to me! -

A) All registry cleaners are snake oil.
B) Featured shareware pick is a registry cleaner.
C) Ergo, featured shareware pick is snake oil.

I like the opening sentence from that "review":

"The latest version of Registry First Aid is even safer..." Hah!

BTW, that link resolved to a WUGNET page for me; couldn't see "Exploring
Windows" anywhere...!
