When I go to use Real Player I get a message that I need an update, but when
I go to update I get a message that no update is available. If this occurred
just once, I would chalk it up to an annoyance and let it go at that.
However, this occurs each time that I use Real Player.

Real Player is neither a part of Windows XP nor a Microsoft product.
Have you asked your Ford Motor dealer for assistance with your Real Player
problem?

You can disable this very annoying feature in Preferences and you can
do the updates manually...

media player/real one - I had some useful info re: my original question. But no direct answer. Many streaming radio stations give one a choice of clicking on media player or real player. I can click on either and listen. On my wife's similar computer, no matter what she....
