Hi As yet I am not a user of windows vista but my friend is and she
has the following problem which I would like help with as I am unable
to find a work around.
She goes to the screen saver set up and selects the background and
time before it is activated. We are able to preview the display but
the screen saver does not seem to work. We have clicked on apply and
set the time to 5 min for test purposes but after that time has passed
the screen saver does not appear. It does not matter what time is set
ie from 1min to 10 min it does not work. could you please let me know
what I need to do or what might be wrong. This is a brand new
computer. have we missed something in the setup. The computer is using
windows home Ultimate.
Thank in advance
Tony

Does she have a microsoft wireless mouse? If so she should unstall an
optional update called " Microsoft - Other hardware - HID Non-User Input Data
Filter"

Where do you find this file? My screensaver didn't activate and I thought
you were supposed to install this update. I thought I did and the screen
saver worked for a while and then stopped working. I have a wireless mouse
and keyboard
