Post subject: Printing Garbage
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>print_fax (more info?)

Just recently it seems that our local machines are printing garbage on
a networked HP printer. I have updated the drivers and have searched
around and still haven't found anything. I finally broke down and
called HP but all they told me was that I needed to check the
connection and reinstall the drivers... check... and it still didn't
work. All the other local machines can print perfectly it's only two
computers running XP Pro SP2. They are both near the same cube. Has
anyone else had this problem and if so any possible solutions. If
you can help me please find me at david at pfnloans .dot. com thanks

Had a similar problem with one of our machines, the resolution was to remove
the printer in XP, get the updated drivers from HP and then reinstall the
printer using the updated drivers.
