Post subject: Plug & play devices installed twice
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>hardware (more info?)

I have a new desktop with Intel Duo Core and Win XP home edition.
it basically runs fine but I noticed that all plug & play devices like
monitor/usb mouse / can be detected but drivers are all installed twice.
And, for monitor, it shows there are 2 P&P Monitor connected however i only
have one; for usb mouse , the driver installed twice automatically and shows
only one
Can some one help pls? is it because of duo core?
