Hi,
Outlook Express - no messages in Inbox
A few things to try:
1. Turn off any anti-virus e-mail scanning.
2. Go to File => Folder => Compact all folders
3. Check that in View => Current View, 'Show All Messages' is checked.
4. Go to Start => Run and type in "regsvr32 inetcomm.dll" {without the
quotes, and a space after regsvr32}
5. In case the Inbox is corrupted, empty it and close Outlook Express.
With hidden files & folders set to show (Tools => Folder Options =>
View), locate the file Inbox.dbx on your computer and delete it
(Documents and Settings => {your profile} => Local Settings =>
Application Data => Identities). Re-open Outlook Express. A new Inbox
will be created automatically. |

leom,
When you went into the directory that claymore mentioned, the folder you
SHOULD have deleted was the one called "FOLDERS.DBX."
If you deleted the Inbox.dbx folder and haven't yet emptied your Recycle
bin, try to get it back, and also make a backup copy of your old Inbox.dbx.
Inbox.dbx is the folder that contains(contained??) all the email messages
that had been in your inbox.
