Post subject: Network & volume icons missing
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windows>vista>performance_maintenance (more info?)

Vista Home Premium SP1 32 bit
Network and volume icons disappear from notification area.
I did right click on Start button > Properties >Notification. Both boxes
are grayed out.

Sometimes a simple restart will restore them. If not, then this may be
able to help restore them instead.

When i delete a file the estimated time window never closes - ok my operating system is windows vista home premium , when ever i delete a file,folder, pic... ect.. ect... it moves it to the recycling bin fine but the estimated time window stays open i have to open task manager and hit end process to get it to..
