Microsoft MapPoint - Error 1327 Invalid Drive E:

I have 2004 V Microsoft MapPoint installed on my laptop. In attempting to
open the program I receive the above listed error message. I've tried to
remove and re-install the program with the same error message surfacing.
Once I close this out I receive another stating:
Fatal Error During Installation.

Anyone with any ideas on how to solve this???

Having never seen the program or its install routine, this is all
speculation:

Is there a drive E Is it possibly a CD or DVD drive that was used to
install "2004 V Microsoft MapPoint"? If so, it may be attempting to
continue the install after a required reboot. In that case, try
inserting the CD so the install can continue.
