Error Message - Recently I have noticed an error message when starting my computer. The message says "MSSvc.EXE has encounter and error and must close" What is this and how can it be corrected? What impact is it having on my computer?

Error Message - Someone is my household must have deleted something that they should not have and we keep getting an error that say hkSFV is not correctly installed (settings not found in registry). I've tried reinstalling XP Home but that did not help the situation...
