Can someone please tell me how I can open a Notepad window in such a way that
it stays on top of other application windows on my screen even when it is not
the selected application? I thought perhaps if I use a DOS shell to open a
Notepad window, maybe there is some extra command line switches I could use
....
Thanks!

I don't believe the Windows gui provides for an "always on top" setting.
The "always on top" would have to be provided by the application (like
Winamp) and Notepad doesn't have this. You might look at third-party
software such as Windowblinds to see if they offer something like that.

Thanks for responding, but I don't see any attached file. Can you please
tell me how to access the attachment?
Thanks

Well you need to access the groups correctly.

news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windowsxp.basics
news://msnews.microsoft.com/#feFX$4zFHA.560@TK2MSFTNGP12.phx.gbl

If you still can't access it (though you should see it) you need to set OE security to allow access on the Security tab in Options.

Thanks very much! I got all the attachments (I had to struggle to get my
browser to let the attachments through, but I finally did it). You've helped
me a lot!
