Greetings,
Using WinXP SP2, WMP 11 won't work anymore. When I double-click on an MP3
file nothing happens at all. No error msg no nothing. I rebooted. No
luck. I've uninstalled and reinstalled version 11 but no luck. I went back
to version 10 no luck either.
I also did a system restore to a month ago and reinstalling WMP 11 but
didn't work anyway. Of course I scanned for malwares, spywares, and virii
first.
Any idea?
TIA |

Try opening WMP,tools,options,file-types tab,select all,close out.You might
try downloading & running WMDiag from microsoft if the above doesnt
fix it....

Yes, you can run mp3 files with windows media player by clicking on the arrow
under Now Playing, Selecting more Options, File Types, Select All and then
click OK. This will make windows media player your default music player for
the file types which it supports. Another way is to Go into Set Program
Access and Defaults, and then choosing your default player as Windows Media
Player. If this does not help, the installation might be corrupt; try
reinstalling it and then try again.
