Windows XP - Under one folder only, all graphic files in all
sub-folders do not show a thumbnail, nor will any graphic viewer open
up the graphic to view. All new graphic files copied to any of the
sub-folders will show a thumbhail and are viewable. Yesterday, all was
fine with the world. What happened?

The extensions are JPG, TGA, GIF. I have been using the Windows Viewer
without any problems.
I cannot open any of the files with Corel, ComPuPic etc. I have
always been able to before tonight.

What's the file extension for the graphics and is there a graphic application
associated with that extension?

Right click on a graphic file and click Properties in the popup menu.
What shows as the application used to open/view the file?

Hi Brian
The application is the Windows Picture & Fax viewer. It has always
been such.
A coincidence? Earlier in the day I attempted to copy the same folders
to
a DVD disk using Nero. The copy failed. For some reason the program
did
not recognize the DVD, or the DVD is damaged. I had to abort the
program
because it went into a continuous "loop". Could the Nero program have
damaged the files in the folders trying to copy them?

For a good graphic viewer, get the free Irfanview:
http://www.irfanview.com/
It's also suggested to download the plugins for other support.

The aborted burn and/or "loop" may very well have caused corruption.
Have you tried moving a file or two out of a folder and then opening them?
If they aren't sensitive and you'ld like to send one to me to check out, email to:
