Hello there.
I am having a heck of time with this USB
optical mouse within Win XP Home SP2.
I have searched the net & read as much as
I can absorb.
Randomly, on any application, the red light
goes off and the only way comes back on is
either restart or pull the USB plug out & then
push it in.
I thought it was the mouse, so moved it to
another PC with XP PRO SP2, and found no
problem with it.
No other USB device is in this PC.
I am concluding it is the PC with XP Home, or
the USB drivers in it.
Am I right? Could it be the drivers?
If so how can I totally remove all USB & USB
hub devices, and let XP to reinstall fresh ones?
Any hint will be helpful.
Thanks in advance

To verify / provide / ensure updated driver for the mouse: Go to Start,
Control Panel, open Folder Mouse, Hardware, click Properties and select
Driver folder.

Did you install / update the correct Logitech mouse drivers? Logitech
had/has two sets of mouse drivers. MouseWare drivers are older
drivers for the older models and SetPoint drivers are for the newer
modules.
Also, you may need to install the chipset drivers for your motherbaord. |
