Whenever I set my folder view on List, it will stay there for a while and
then (all of a sudden) it will change to Tiles. After I change it to List, I
go into Tools, Folder Options, View, and Apply to All Folders. Then I hit
OK. It will work for a while and then change back to Tiles. I do not know
what I am doing wrong. Can anyone help me?

Try the following link, then look for "Detail View (or any view) Not
Sticking":

http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_d.htm

OR, try this link and look for #2, "Increase Folder View Size Limit to
8000":

http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm
