This is driving us nuts! Windows won't assign a drive letter to our new USB
2.0 external hard disk. Any suggestions, help, advice?

I had this problem with a plug and play iogear. Ended up going into start -control panel - administrative tools -computer managenent - storage- disk management - then hopefully you will see your new drive on the bottom and can left click it then right click it giving you the option to select a drive letter and I had to format the drive ntsp to get it too work... Hope this is some help
