Post subject: Installation of a font problem Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>basics (more info?)
when i try to install a font i get this message "TrueType font is already
installed. To install a new version, first remove the old version", but i
can't see the font in the font directory or find font on pc. does any one
have any ideas??

Have you checked the actual file name of the font? It may be very
different from the font name.

Problem - When I change the disks in my CD/DVD drives they do not log in the new disk or files. If the disk is removed the file are still shown to be there but are not accessible. If the system is rebooted then they reflect the current files. Any suggestions...
Explorer Problem - Explorer is not working. The error just says Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. I sent the error report to Microsoft, but no help there. Any thoughts?
AVG problem - Did a format on C drive but did not touch the d partition-Where I moved some data. Now it wont let me reload AVG as it says its already there but I cannot find it.Had a mosey in the Registery(on tiptoes) but don't see it mentioned.Any help appreciated...
Msconfig problem... - maybe I was working on a friends computer and cleaned out some viruses and a whole heap of malware/spyware. There were some items in msconfig startup that I did not recognize and turned them off. Yet when I rebooted they were all turned back on again. ...
