Hi! I have the problem listed here and want to obtain the hotfix to fix it:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/885843

Unfortunately i have Xp SP2 and I cannot see the hotfix listed for this OS
at this SP level. I am unable to upgrade to SP3 due to some
incompatibilities with the SAP installation that I am using. Can someone
advise what i can do? Am I able to perhaps install the Hotfix listed fro Sp1
or SP3?

Thankyou very much for your help

Forget this Tom - I am having a daft moment. I was reading the Sp column as
the SP required to accept the hotfix. Now i understand that it is simply
displaying the SP that CONTAINS the hotfix. Sorry!! Thanks for your help!!

It quite explicitly states Windowsx XP SP1 or later...
It also has a section that says: Windows XP SP2.

Order it here:

Hi Tom - Thankyou for replying so quickly. I can see in the KB article that
it does talk about a hotfix for Sp2 and it gives the file attributes.
However i cannot see an explicit link to a hotfix for XP SP2 in the list of
hotfixes provided to fix this problem in a link at the top of the KB article:
http://support.microsoft.com/hotfix/KBHotfix.aspx?kbnum=885843&kbln=en-us.
Am I missing something...or is it safe to install the hotfix listed as
suitable for XP SP3?

Thanks again
