Hi,
I have two computers with Windows XP Pro installed, and a product key for
both. I now find it necessary to format one of the computers. However I can
only find one copy of my xp pro discs.
Is it possible to install XP Pro back onto my second computer using the disc I
have, but using the correct product key for the computer.
Thanks |

You can. All disks of the same XP edition will accept a key. Service pack
differences don't matter.

Yes. The CDs are identical (as long as they are the same with respect
to Home vs. Professional, Retail vs. OEM, and Full vs. Upgrade), and
you don't even need any more than one. It's the keys that represent
your license.
