Post subject: HP 4050 network printer driver not deleting
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>print_fax (more info?)

I have a XP home machine on our work network. That machine doesn't print to
the HP 4050. AS of Thursday it could, but now it can't. It can print to the
rest of the other printers in the printer's list. Other users can print to
the HP 4050. When I try to delete the driver, it stays there saying
deleting. It also says that it has 4 print jobs, but when I open it there is
nothing in the print list. I have tried to put a new driver in, but that
doesn't work. I have to delete and then rebooted about 10 times and that
doesn't work. I went into safe mode, both with and without network support,
but when I open up the printers folder, there is nothing in there. I want to
delete this printer driver and reinstall it, but I am unable to. Is there
something I haven't tried that will work?

Start, Settings, Control Panel, Printers & Faxes... right click on the
printer and cancel all print jobs.

Then uninstall the printer....
