Is there any way to make a full screened DOS program _not_ run half
screen?

No matter what font I select it only fills the top half of the screen.

right click on the boarder at the top of the window, properties, check full
screen under display options.

My guess is that the app runs in the old "25 line" dos.
how to set this is perfectly described here:
http://www.columbia.edu/~em36/wpdos/textmode.html
see: Force 25-line mode for full-screen WPDOS under Windows 2000 and XP.
