Hi I've been working on a word document off my laptop when the screen froze
and all controls went unresponsive. I am currently running xp home edition
and I would like to be able to reboot without losing my progress. If I lose
my document it will take me several hours to catch up. The shortcuts I've
already tried are ctrl+alt+delete and alt+tab with neither working. Is my
only solution to take a picture of the screen with a camera?

Thank You

That's probably the only way you can *guarantee* to preserve that
information. Word can recover documents that weren't properly closed,
so that feature may bail you out. It depends on a lot of things that I
don't know about, and no guarantees are possible.
