Post subject: Error when requesting remote assistance Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>work_remotely (more info?)
When I try requesting Remote Assistance from someone, when I click on the
Invite button after entering their email address, it says Remote Assistance
failed, please try again. The box in Cnotrol Panel/Systems are checked to
allow remote control and remote assistance of my computer. Any ideas as to
what's wrong?

It sounds like maybe one of the two pcs doesn't have a compatible version of
MSN Messenger, that allows for remote assistance.

Remote Assistance as a help desk - Is there a way to use the remote assistance as part of a logged help desk for users in a small org. I am looking to be able to build a report on all the assistance required. if not, can some one recommend a free or cheap program that will do this well
Remote Assistance not sending email - I'm using XP Pro and have remote assistance enabled but when I send an invitation to someones email they never receive it. The computer says it sent it. Does anyone know what I might check to see why the emails aren't being delivered. Thanks, Pete
Using another key to escape from Remote Assistance? - I need to use RA with an application (Korn Shell) that uses the ESC key (and this CANNOT be configured). How do I tell RA that I do not want it to use ESC to escape from the session (or to use another key)?
