Post subject: Dual Monitor question
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>video (more info?)

I use a dual setup with my laptop at work, but not when I bring it
home. As such, every morning at work when I attach the second monitor,
I have to open up Desktop Properties >> Settings and adjust the primary
monitor [1] to be positioned on the right as I prefer the secondary [2]
on the left. It would appear that after disconnecting, Windows XP
defaults to a basic [1] [2] positioning, but that isn't what I want.

Is there a way to make it always default to [2] on the left and [1] on
the right, or am I screwed because I disconnect the secondary monitor
every night thus causing windows to lose this setting?

Thanks,
Jim
