There's a program that enables a little box to display text fragments that
represent various completions based on prior entrees in the SAME completion
box.

What is the program?

Thank you,

You are referring to an AutoComplete dialog. Many Microsoft applications
(Internet Explorer web browser for one) have such a tool. Developer
IDEs have "Intellisense" dialog which work similarly with programming code.

Thanks -- now I know what to call the feature. The problem: I had the
feature until about two weeks ago. Suddenly, upon a routine reboot, this
feature disappeared. How can I get it back?

You still have not stated what application you are using.

M.S. Word has the AutoCompete option. I tried it and it fouled things up
(like font changes would not stay). But I'll look for the option in other
programs and try AutoComplete out there.

Perhaps I wasn't clear? Is there a program/utility for a USER?

Thanks,
