>Question: After doing an analysis & being prompted
to Defrag Volume (DSmile drive & defragging
this volume there were still files that
did not defragment. Hardly any difference
shown between the Estimated disk usage before
defrag & The Estimated disk usage after defrag
was shown on the screen.
After defrag is completed the screen shows:
"Defrag. is complete for:ACERDATA(DSmile. Some files
on this volume could not be defragmented. Please
check the Defrag. report for the list of these
files"
These files are:

640MB \erUBK_Folder\IMAGES\erUBK.008
640MB \erUBK_Folder\IMAGES\erUBK.009
640MB \erUBK_Folder\IMAGES\erUBK.010

Google provides this:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=erUBK&btnG=Google+Search

It appears that these are Acer data backup files.

From slick1: I guess you are saying that there is no need to worry about
them then? Do I really need them, they take-up a lot of space,1920MB total.
Would I be able to copy these files and put them on my desktop to see if I
could delete them (if I don't get a warning message about deleting them)?
As a newuser I'm a little in the dark about these issues.
Thanks again!

Right click on a file and select Properties. What does it say the file
opens with?

I am not clear from perusing Google exactly what these files are backing
up.

I am wondering whether this is what they relate to:
http://websupport.acer.com.tw/et2/upload/info/286/Acer%20eRecovery%20M...gement%

This page suggests an update may be needed:
http://websupport.acer.com.tw/et2/support/et.asp

Hope this helps.
