On XP when you right click on a folder and you select Properties> customize
you have an option to make the folder confirm to a template, for example
PICTURES.
That works for the current folder I have chosen , however the checkmark that
says
"Also Apply this Template to all the subfolders" does not seem to work at
all.....
and this is not only on my own computer... I have NEVER seen it work.
Is this a bug, or is there something I am missing?

Any help would be appreciated...

Kenny,

Once your through selecting the folder options, be sure to press the "Apply"
button towards the bottom of the folder properties window. Then select
"Okay" button prior to closing the folder properties window.

If this doesn't work for you either.

Once back to the folder contents view. Close the Folder window by selecting
"File" menu>"Exit".
For some reason, picking the "X" in the top right corner to close the window
will cause your changes to NOT be saved.

Hope this is helpful !

Best regards,

Richard in Va.

what you are saying does not apply to what I am asking.

First of all this is not the folder options, but the folder customization,
and there is no file menu exit in explorer, only close. And even if I do as
you said nothing changes, the problem still continues to exist.

See screenshot http://www.computerboom.net/support/customize-folder.jpg

This is probably a bug of XP since this is not the only computer that it
does not work.

Kenny,
Your absolutely right, there is no "exit" in the explorer "file" menu, only
a "close" option.
My regrets, I must have been looking at an application "file" menu.

I've re-read your original post and again, my regrets.
I was running in a completely different direction.

I don't really use folder "templates", so I'm afraid I won't be of much help
to you.
No harm done I hope!

Best regards,
Richard in Va.
