I have a working and tested Remote Desktop set on my home
computer in which I can log on remotely EXCEPT from
work. Is there a firewall issue that a large scale
business network might use to prevent me from logging in,
and if so how might I circumvent it?! My work/client
computer just times out...
Thanks so much!

Check with your network admin at work. You need port 3389 open to connect
to your home PC.

Yep, some businesses block TCP Port 3389 outbound. Also, and perhaps just as important, is your home
PC behind a firewall/NAT/router? If so you also need to forward TCP Port 3389 to the private LAN IP
of your desktop. Call using the public IP of the firewall/NAT/router.
