I have had WindowsXP running with the
old-style windows appearance, but now it has
changed all of a sudden to give the new
bright blue one which I dislike.

I have tried changing it back to the old
style via the task-bar properties but this
does not work.

Can I try something else?

Frank

Seems that you have changed the Theme.

1. Right-click on an empty area of your Desktop and choose Properties.
2. From the Theme tab choose Windows XP Classic.
3. Apply the changes.

Hope this help, let us know!
