I've created a new user account just for the purpose of logging in clean of most of the
"convenience" programs that use up memory (desktop calendar, etc.). This to free up memory
and streamline Autocad, which is a memory hog. But there are some resources, like Outlook
Express or my phone answering system, that I would like to be constant.
How can I make these resources common to both users? It's a one-person setup and I don't
need or want to have independent user profiles except for the startups. I copied the
contents of my /documents and settings/Bob to /documents and settings/Bobs Acad but that
didn't have much effect. Both accounts are Administrator.
If I succeed (with your kind assistance) what's the scoop on memory? When fast switching
users will the programs running on Bob go to lowest priority and down to disk or will they
stay in RAM?
Thanks,
