Camera as a drive.

I was a bit off base with my question: it is viewable as a directory; what I want is to
make it a drive.

Here's some detail:

it's a Kodak DX3600 with a recharging base that also serves as a connect switch. You push
a button and the connection is made. It is also possible to connect directly via a usb
connection on the camera. But there is no difference in response at the computer. In
either case XP sees the camera and opens the memory as a directory under My Computer. I'd
like to make that directory a drive.
