We have a program that can do some inventoring of the computers on the
network. One of the things I can see is that the software shows the serial
numbers of the Dell and HP workstations. Most of our computers are
whiteboxes that we have been getting from our local vendor so the serial
numbers are show as either 0123456789 or "To Be filled in by OEM".
Is there a tool or registry settings that I need to either add or update the
serial number information on the white boxes?
