Leonard

The Hotfix should not be needed. The Windows XP SP2 update
incorporated the Hotfix! Further mrxsmb.sys has been updated several
times since and on my machine the latest version is 5.1.2600.2902
dated 5.5.2006.

The other person needs to check the version of mrxsmb.sys installed
and to check that all updates for Windows XP are installed.

I am not sure that the error is a Stop 0x00000027 error. Googling
throws up a lot of 0x270F error reports. It might be worth checking
that none of the installed memory is defective.

Hi Gerry -

Spot on. I do have the latest mrxsmb.sys. The attached analysis in my first
post was from a debug on the full crash file.

This seems to be a sporadic thing - although I see another user has posted
the same issue...
