Autochk

i got this problem with my laptop.
whenever i schedule a autochk from command prompt and type the command
chkdsk /f they will say that the will schedule it the next time the computer
restart.that's fine but when i restart the chkdsk will run but before it
checks the countdown timer will stop somewhere around 5-9 seconds and they
will say the check disk is cancelled. then the login screen comes. can you
guys help me in repairing this problem?

Try in cmd:CHKDSK C: This is read only & no repairs are performed,then
type:CHKDSK C: /F Agree to restart,type:EXIT Restart pc.
