I have a computer "MainComp" with 2 printers directly connected "P1" & "P2". MainComp shares these printers to 3 other computers. In MainComp's Printers folder the 2 printers are listed 4 times: Auto P1 Auto P2 P1 P2 The two Auto printers are obviously from the auto find printer feature in XP. 1. Can I (should I) delete the Auto printers from MainComp? 2. Are there any known issues with duplicate printers causing Windows Image Acquisition errors? (Background: I am tracking down repeated error log instances of Event ID 7034 in Service Control Manager - WIA terminating unexpectedly, most likely caused by a bad camera or printer/scanner driver.)
