Fonts question again - Hello My previous computer with Windows 98, had a font in its fonts folder called Marker and Marker Heavy.My new computer with Windows XP, both fonts are missing, how can I get them back into the XP fonts folder. Thanks in

not an XP question - but I don't know where to ask it. I follow this NG because I have XP, but will be working tomorrow on a friend's computer, which has either 98 or 2000 on it. Where can I look to ensure OS is up to date with latest security fixes etc

JVM Question - I've always had less problems with MS's version of JVM than with Sun's. Since XP Pro on a new machine I'm wondering since MS JVM is not supported any longer is it possible to take take a copy off of my old W9se machine and use it on the XP..

msconfig question - When I look at my start-up tab, one of the command paths is followed by (without the quotes) and another command path is followed by It was my that all of the listed items are run at start-up. What do these extra..

I've been attempting to install RenderX's XEP without any luck. As part of
the installation process, it attempts to run a batch file named validate.bat.
I've granted what I thought were all the permissions required for a
TrustedInstaller, but it still comes back stating that it can't run the batch
file and the install process quits.

What can I do to get a successful install of the application? I really,
really need this app as I'm doing some work converting XML-formatted data
into PDF files through the use of XSL-FO.

Have you tried to elevate the privileges for the installer but right clicking
on the install file and selecting "Run as Administrator"?

I just looked into trying that, but that option isn't available Sad The setup
program is an executable JAR file. Any other options?
