Where do I find what used to be called the "Admin Pack" in Windows 2000 for
XP? I'm referring to utilities that allow you to manage an Active Directory
domain, DNS, etc., from a XP Professional system. In Windows 2000
Professional, those utilities were located in an installation called
ADMINPAK.MSI located on the CD. I found what I thought was that toolset on
the XP CD, but it turned out to be a set of command-line utilities the
purpose of which I am unsure.

"The Administration Tools Pack allows administrators to install the Windows
Server 2003 management tools onto a computer running Windows XP Professional
or a Windows Server 2003 family operating system to perform remote server
management functions. This is the final version (build 5.2.3790.1830) of the
adminpak.msi file. You must uninstall all previous versions of the
Administration Tools Pack before installing this version."
