Post subject: Account locked
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windows>vista>administration_accounts_passwords (more info?)

when I turn my laptop on (wake) from hibernation I now have to click on my
icon/account because it says it is locked. After clicking on the
icon/account it goes to the desktop. The "does not need password" has been
checked under the password option so that is not the issue. I did not have
to do this until a Vista upgrade was installed now I have to do it all the
time. How can this be changed. No password is required, the screen just
states it is locked. I am the only person on the computer and am listed as
the administrator.

Hi BC,

Check to see if disabling the password protection at wakeup will help.
Check the NOTE at the top of the tutorial also for the screen save
password on resume option as well.

Hope this helps,
Shawn
