treo 650 upgrade

I am using Lotus organizer as a contact manager, so it is different.

When I try to hotsync the new treo, my computer tries to install the new
driver. I read here previously that there is a specific procedure when
upgrading from a old phone driver to the treo. Like, uninstall the old
driver first. The contact info will stay, then install the new Treo 650
driver, then hotsync. But there was some discussion as to how to do it
correctly.
