Steven:

You need to enable activex controls in your browser. Please try the
following:

Go to Tools | Internet Options |Security Tab
Click on the security tab
Highlight Internet and click on Custom Level
On this dialog you will find an ActiveX and Plug in section
Enable or set to Prompt each entry here.
Close this dialog
Close your browser
Open a new instance of your browser
Navigate to the activation website
Attempt to activate your Reader

Please let me know if this does not resolve your issue and I will do my best
to assist you in finding a resolution.

Sincerely,
Christine - Microsoft Reader Team
