Other than the sample video included with the TX I've never played
video.
Maybe a third-party player might be a better bet like TCPMP or
something.

TCPMP will also remember where you were in the video, as long as the
file is still accessable when you next start it.

Example: I have a SD card I use for TV shows. If I stop a show in
the middle, go do something else, and come back to it, it will be
right where I left it. If I take the SD card out (to read or
whatever) and put it back before I start TCPMP again, same thing. The
show will only restart if I start TCPMP without haveing the card in
the slot.
