Post subject: Configure GPRS automatically like Palm or BlackBerry?
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>pocketpc>developer>networking (more info?)

Hi.

GSM palm devices (treo) configure a GPRS connection automatically when a sim
ship is inserted and the phone is activated.
I never used a BlackBerry device, but I was told it has a feature (I think
its name is "Service Book"), that can be used to retrieve GPRS settings from
the network and configure the device automatically.

I'd like to know if there's anything like that for WinCE/Windows Mobile:
An API or service to ask the phone network the information we need to
configure a GPRS connection.

Thanks.

Fabio.
