Alarms not working in 2003SE

I don't use alarms much on my hx4700, so I just stored the articles that
appeared a year or so ago on the registry hack to fix the problem.

Then the alarm failed me 2 out of 3 times on a trip last weekend. I've
got to fix this, but the stored article has disappeared. I've gone
through Werner's blog archives and found nothing - same results on
Microsofts Knowledge Base. Can someone point me to the info on how to
fix this problem?
